Unicast/Manycast client advanced settings

The dialog box contains advanced settings for the unicast/manycast client, including the interface binding, timeout values, and the range of random delay etc. To access the dialog box, click on the "Advanced..." button in the "Client - unicast/manycast" page on the "Main window".

Interface binding

In this tab sheet, you can separately specify the local IP addresses and the local port numbers to bind unicast/manycast client using the NTP/SNTP protocol, the Time UDP protocol, and the UnixTime UDP protocol to.

NTP/SNTP

If the box is checked, you can specify a local IP addresse and a local port number to bind the unicast/manycast client using the NTP/SNTP protocol to.

UnixTime UDP

If the box is checked, you can specify a local IP addresse and a local port number to bind the unicast client using the UnixTime UDP protocol to.

Binding IP

Specifies a local IP addresse to bind the unicast client using the UnixTime UDP protocol to. By default, it's "0.0.0.0".

Binding port

Specify a local port number to bind the unicast client using the UnixTime UDP protocol to.

Timeout

In this tab sheet, you can specify the number of milliseconds the unicast/manycast client should wait in every step while trying to synchronize with the time server.

Use global timeout

If the box is checked, the unicast/manycast client using all of the NTP/SNTP, Time UDP, Time TCP, UnixTime UDP and UnixTime TCP protocols will use the global timeout settings.

Global timeout (milliseconds)

Specifies the global timeout settings for the unicast/manycast client using all of the NTP/SNTP, Time UDP, Time TCP, UnixTime UDP and the UnixTime TCP protocols.

Resolve

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast/manycast client should wait while trying to resolve the host address of the time server.

Connect

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast client using Time TCP and UnixTime TCP protocols should wait while trying to connect to the time server.

Receive

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast/anycast client should wait for the time server to response while trying to synchronize with the time server.

Use customization timeout

If the box is checked, you can separately specify the timeout values for the unicast/manycast client using the NTP/SNTP, Time UDP, Time TCP, UnixTime UDP and the UnixTime TCP protocols.

NTP/SNTP timeout (milliseconds)

Specifies the timeout settings for the unicast/manycast client using the NTP/SNTP protocol.

Resolve

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast/manycast client using the NTP/SNTP protocol should wait while trying to resolve the host address of the NTP/SNTP time server.

Receive

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast/manycast client using the NTP/SNTP protocol should wait for the NTP/SNTP time server to response while trying to synchronize with the NTP/SNTP time server.

Time UDP timeout (milliseconds)

Specifies the timeout settings for the unicast client using the Time UDP protocol.

Resolve

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast client using the Time UDP protocol should wait while trying to resolve the host address of the Time UDP time server.

Receive

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast client using the Time UDP protocol should wait for the Time UDP time server to response while trying to synchronize with the Time UDP time server.

Time TCP timeout (milliseconds)

Specifies the timeout settings for the unicast client using the Time TCP protocol.

Resolve

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast client using the Time TCP protocol should wait while trying to resolve the host address of the Time TCP time server.

Connect

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast client using Time TCP protocol should wait while trying to connect to the Time TCP time server.

Receive

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast client using the Time TCP protocol should wait for the Time TCP time server to response while trying to synchronize with the Time TCP time server.

UnixTime UDP timeout (milliseconds)

Specifies the timeout settings for the unicast client using the UnixTime UDP protocol.

Resolve

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast client using the UnixTime UDP protocol should wait while trying to resolve the host address of the UnixTime UDP time server.

Receive

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast client using the UnixTime UDP protocol should wait for the UnixTime UDP time server to response while trying to synchronize with the UnixTime UDP time server.

UnixTime TCP timeout (milliseconds)

Specifies the timeout settings for the unicast client using the UnixTime TCP protocol.

Resolve

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast client using the UnixTime TCP protocol should wait while trying to resolve the host address of the UnixTime TCP time server.

Connect

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast client using UnixTime TCP protocol should wait while trying to connect to the UnixTime TCP time server.

Receive

Specifies the number of milliseconds the unicast client using the UnixTime TCP protocol should wait for UnixTime Time TCP time server to response while trying to synchronize with the UnixTime TCP time server.
