When you start the Net Time Server & Client, it appears its icon in your system tray (the area near the clock). It doesn't require much system resources and provides for the following functions:
Tray menu is available when right-clicking on the tray icon, allows you to operate the Net Time Server & Client when the "Main window" is hidden. All menu options are performed with user's left-click.
This menu item re-shows the Net Time Server & Client "Main window" and other windows that they were opened just like double-clicking on the "Tray icon" with left mouse button.
This menu item is the same as pressing the "Minimize" button on the "Main window". It hides all windows of the Net Time Server & Client. Also, you can hide them by double-clicking on the "Tray icon" with left mouse button. See also the "Minimize" button on the "Main window".
This menu item is the same as pressing the "Manually synchornize" button in the "Manual synchronization" box in the "Client - Unicast/Manycast" page on the "Main window". It causes the unicast/manycast client of Net Time Server & Client to synchronize your PC's clock with a time server that is in the "Source time servers queue" in the "Client - Unicast/Manycast" page on the "Main window". This menu item is the same pressing the "Cancel" button in the "Manual synhronization" box in the "Client - Unicast/Manycast" page on the "Main window". It causes the unicast/manycast client of the Net Time Server & Client to stop the current synchronization process that is started manually or automatically. This menu item is the same as pressing the "Help" button on the "Main window". It opens the help window. See also the "Help" button on the "Main window".
The "Content" page will be opened when you perform this menu item for the first time since the Net Time Server & Client was opened, othewise the help document that is associated with current page in "Page work area" will be opened.
The menu item is the same as pressing the "Exit" button on the "Main window". It closes the Net Time Server & Client program immediately, removing the icon from the system tray, and the program from memory. See also the "Exit" button on the "Main window".
As an attempt to help the average user to understand what is happening with the Net Time Server & Client, when a log event has occurred, if the "Show tray balloon tip" of this log item is checked in the "Log - Setup" page on the "Main window", a balloon message box will be displayed over the "Tray icon" giving you information about this log event. Clicking on the tray balloon tip will close it. And furthermore, if the "Display detail when click on the tray balloon" box is checked in the "Options" page on the "Main window", clicking on the tray balloon tip also will open the "Tray balloon tip detail" window to display the advanced information about this log event.
